You can arrive with us anytime from 10.30am.

If you select the 11.30 Birthday Slot your food will be served in our reserved area at 11.30 and your Birthday Express to Shelley station will depart at 12.30.  You can spend as long as you like at Shelley station and remain with us until we close at 5pm.

If you select the 13.30 Birthday slot you food will be served in our reserved area at 13.30 and your Birthday Express to Shelley station will depart at 11.10.  You will return to Clayton West on the 12.30 departure from Shelley

A Whistlestop Valley children’s birthday party includes: 

• Party food served in a reserved private space at Clayton West
• Return train ride to Shelley on allocated & reserved service (outbound only. You can return at your leisure!)
• Birthday headboard on train
• Unlimited access to the Clayton Flyer, The Shed, the playgrounds, The Pillow, Crazy Golf & Peddle Cars
• Whistlestop Valley invitation PDF template
• One free adult per paying child attending the party (all additional adults/siblings will be charged at full price)
• Two complimentary tickets for the birthday child to return (Ts & Cs apply)
• A complimentary ticket for each child attending the birthday party to return (Ts & Cs apply)

Parties can be booked on most Saturdays and Sundays from the end of February to the end of October (excluding special event days) and also through the week during school holidays.

The cost of a Whistlestop Valley birthday party is £200 for the minimum amount of children (10) any additional child is charged at £22.95 per child.  The maximum number of children is 20. If you're planning a birthday party with more than 20 guests (including adults), please reach out via email at info@whistlestopvalley.co.uk.

A deposit of £200 is payable upon booking.  This covers the basic party package for 10 children (and 10 accompanying adults).   

Please contact us at info@whistlestopvalley.co.uk to add additional children, adults or infants under 2 not taking part in the party and we will add these to the booking. 

The maximum number of children at a party is 20 due to space.  We may on occasion be able to accomodate more than this number but please contact us at the first instance should you require a larger number than 20 children to attend.

After making your booking, a member of our team will contact you by email or telephone to confirm the details.

ALL DETAILS NUMBERS/NAMES/FOOD CHOICES/ALLERGY INFORMATION MUST BE GIVEN TO WHISTLESTOP VALLEY 10 DAYS BEFORE THE DATE OF THE PARTY. 

If we do not receive the above by the due date on the booking confirmation sent out by Whistlestop Valley the party will automatically be cancelled.

2026 INFO & TERMS

Extra food choices can be added at a cost of £2.00 per item per head (so for a party of 10 children, each additional item of food would cost £20)

Adult food platters can be added to your party, details of these will be provided with the booking confirmation.

A £200 deposit is required at time of booking.

Final numbers and food choices are required at least 10 days in advance these numbers cannot be altered 7 days before the party is due to take place.

The additional balance of the party (if applicable) is to be settled via telephone payment 48 hours before the date of the party.

If a party is cancelled by the person making the booking up to seven days before the date of the party, £150 of the deposit is refundable but £50 is not refundable

If a party is cancelled by the person making the booking in the 10 days immediately before the date of the party, the full £200 deposit is not refundable.  If a party is cancelled due to illness, we will try our best to transfer to an alternative date.

Under 2's not taking part in the party are free but must be added to the booking
