Brought to you by Whistlestop Valley and our friends at Funcast Character Company…

It’s time to take an amazing journey into the mythical Forest of Fantasy and Fables, where you’ll enrol in the legendary Dragon Camp and help these fantastic beasts and their friends complete a magical mission.

Someone is plotting to steal the legendary Golden Dragon Egg and it is up to you to uncover the truth.  On your incredible quest you’ll get to meet with the dragons, solve their puzzles, uncover clues and complete your adventure and become a master of dragons!

Part mystery, part scavenger hunt, part treasure trail, this interactive event is fun for all the family.  Plus, there’s plenty of opportunities to meet and interact with the fascinating and fantastical dragons along the way.

It’s a legendary day out for all fantasy fans out there – so put your dragon skills to the test and come help us save the day!

What happens on the day?

The interactive event will take place across both Clayton West Station and Shelley Station sites and it will take you at least one hour (excluding your train ride!) to seek out the suspects and solve the mystery.  The dragons and their masters will be on site from 10am to 5pm.

On the day of your visit, you will be welcome to arrive from 10am and stay with us until we close at 5pm.

The time you choose when booking is the time your TRAIN DEPARTS from Clayton West to transport you to Shelley Station; it is NOT your arrival time!  Don't be late for your steam train ride or you might end up as a dragon's dinner!

On arrival at Clayton West Station, you'll need to check in and take hold of your detective notes. This important document includes an introduction to the mystery, instructions on how to solve the case and hints and tips to help solve the mystery.  There'll also be blank space to make those all-important notes.  REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR OWN PEN/PENCIL!

Then, it's time to start mystery-solving...  finding clues from the REAL LIFE dragons at Clayton West before taking your steam train ride to Shelley Station to discover even more important riddles to solve!

At both stations, you can have a pit stop in the outdoor playgrounds or refuel with a pizza, hot food, ice cream a drink.  There'll be platform rides on the tram at Shelley and the chance to take your mind off the quest at hand with a bounce on our giant jumping pillow and toys and HUGE dragons to take a selfie with inside The Shed.

There will be no time limit for you at either Station site but please remember the limited capacity on trains when returning from Shelley and plan your times accordingly.

When you have finished your investigation, you can place your answer slip in the box provided.  The answers will be revealed on Whistlestop Valley and Funcast Character social media channels the following day.  One lucky super-sleuth with the correct answer will be picked on each day and a special prize sent onto them.
